A Tamil academy built by the community, for the next generation
Nunmaan Tamil Academy teaches Tamil methodically across Michigan, Ontario and online — with accredited curriculum, trained volunteers and a deep love for Tamil culture.
Why we exist
Nunmaan Tamil Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organisation run entirely by community volunteers. We teach Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing in an organised, methodical way using modern technology, so children growing up outside Tamil Nadu can read, write, speak and love Tamil with confidence.
Twelve years of weekend classes, competitions, cultural programmes and graduations have grown Nunmaan into four campuses — Troy, Novi, Windsor and the Virtual Tamil Academy — with a shared curriculum, calendar and graduation ceremony.
